New board members

In June Singapore-Norway Chamber of Commerce held our Annual General Meeting, combined with a webinar on Singapore’s Ocean Industries Post Covid-19 in cooperation with Innovation Norway’s Singapore office.

New board members

SNCC is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members of the Board, as well as welcoming Ambassador Morten Høglund, Norway’s Ambassador to ASEAN, as permanent observer to the Board.

Trine Radmann, Head of International Affairs, Norway Health Tech, Geir Fuglerud, Director of Offshore Classification, DNV GL and Bård Bjørløw, EVP Global Sales and Marketing, Kongsberg Maritime are the latest additions to the Board.

H.E. Morten Høglund, Ambassador to ASEAN
Ambassador Morten Høglund became the first dedicated Norwegian ambassador to ASEAN in 2017. Before taking up his post in Jakarta, Mr. Høglund was Senior Official ASEAN at Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has previously served as Special Adviser for Arctic Affairs. Mr. Høglund has served 12 years in the Norwegian Parliament and 2 years as Deputy Foreign Minister. He has served as Deputy Mayor in two Norwegian counties.

Mr Høglund is married and has four children. He has a long history in Chinese Dragon Boat Racing, including founding Oslo Dragon Boat Club and co-founder of both the European and International Dragon Boat Federation.

Trine Radmann, Head of International Affairs, Norway Health Tech
Trine Radmann started in Norway Health Tech October 1st 2017, when she left her position in The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, NHO. Radmann was Head of NHOs Brussels office.

Trine has been instrumental in securing and building relationships nationally and internationally for the Norwegian health industry. Her expertise in business development and relation management extends to a wide range of industries: health tech, medical services, energy, aerospace and defence.

Radmann has previously worked for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign affairs and in the former government of Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik in Norway.

Radmann received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and her diploma in Political Science from University of Georgia and the University of Oslo.

Geir Fuglerud, Director of Offshore Classification, DNV GL
Geir Fuglerud joined DNV GL in 2006 and has since 2019 held the position as Director of Offshore Classification, responsible for all of DNV GL’s offshore class activities globally. Previous experience includes 6 years (2009 –2015) working for DNV GL in Singapore as Maritime Business Development Manager and Head of Maritime Advisory, and 4 years (2015 –2019) as Area Manager Middle East & Africa based in Dubai. He also had several years in a maritime technology consultancy firm in Norway prior to starting with DNV GL.

Geir holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and University of Glasgow, and a Graduate Diploma in International Business from the University of Auckland.

Bård Bjørløw, EVP -Global Sales and Marketing, Kongsberg Maritime
Bjørløw joined Kongsberg Maritime in 2018, and has held previous positions such as Vice President for Sales & Customer Support at Wilhelmsen Ship Services, and worked several years in leading positions at Unitor.

Bjørløw holds an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Glasgow University.

Outgoing board members

At the same time, we would like to thank our outgoing board members for their effort – Christian Chramer from NHO, Torger Reve from BI and Bjørn Tore Markussen from the Ocean Data Foundation (previously DNV GL). Their contribution to the board has been most valuable, and SNCC wishes them well on their future endeavours.
