H.E. Anita Nergaard
Ambassador of Norway to Singapore
H.E. Anita Nergaard, Ambassador of Norway to Singapore joined the Norwegian Foreign Service in 1995 and has had various postings since. She was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director of Russia, Eurasia and Regional Cooperation in the High North and Arctic from 2010, and Director of Security Policy, Crisis Management, Global Security Affairs and the US and Canada from 2005. Prior to her arrival in Singapore Ms Nergaard served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Norway to NATO in Brussels. An economist by training, Ms Nergaard started her professional career in the Central Bank of Norway in 1993. She holds a PhD Study Programme degree and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics.
H.E. Morten Høglund, Ambassador of Norway to ASEAN became the first dedicated Norwegian ambassador to ASEAN in 2017. Before taking up his post in Jakarta, Mr. Høglund was Senior Official ASEAN at Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has previously served as Special Adviser for Arctic Affairs.
Pål Arne Kastmann is the Director of Innovation Norway Singapore and sits in the steering group of Nordic Innovation House Singapore. He has previously spent eight years in China, during which time he was Sector Manager for Energy and Environment at Innovation Norway China and Manager of the Norwegian Energy and Environment Consortium (NEEC). He also worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was part of the team setting up the Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou in 2008. He has a master’s degree in Chinese and Economics from the University of Oslo and London School of Economics.
Leonard Opitz Stornes is the managing director of NHST Media Group Asia. He is also currently the president of Norwegian Business Association of Singapore, part of the board of governors in the European Chamber of Commerce, and of the management committee of the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore. Stornes has his educational background from Harvard Business School and Henley Business School and serves as an Advisor for the VC firms Investigate and Antler.
